We encourage students to stay in host family accommodation; either bed and breakfast or half board, which ensures total immersion in the language and culture. Students get to practise the language particularly at meal times with the family and this serves to maximise progress.
Other types of accommodation that are available are hotels and in certain destinations studios or shared flats. We will always check availability for you.
Most families live in flats about 20 minutes from the school by public transport. Very occasionally, a family may be up to 30 minutes from the school in one of the more elegant districts.

Executive families live in larger apartments, can offer students private bathroom facilities and will offer to do their washing and ironing. There may be a limited number of executive host families at your chosen destination

Style and availability will vary with destination, but for each of our language schools we have a carefully selected list of suitable hotel accommodation.
One bedroom furnished apartment. These are small studio type apartments suitable for one individual student or a couple. These apartments will normally have one living space that also serves as the bedroom, with an American-style kitchen and a separate bathroom.
This is the most independent and often the cheapest option. Bedrooms are simply furnished, you will normally have a single room and share the rest of the flat (bathroom, kitchen and living room) with 3 or 4 other students. Students are expected to share all household chores.
This is particularly aimed at those wishing to be independent and live among students from all over the world and sometimes with native speaking students. Halls of residence tend to be quite close to the school. The size of the halls varies and starts at 6 people. Cleaning of the room once a week is usually included.
