About this language course

A general French group course that takes place Monday to Friday from 09.30 to 12.45. There are then 10 afternoon lessons from Monday to Thursday, based on learning the language through the discovery of France and the French using communicative and creative skills. This is an intensive course for those seeking to maximise the amount of French they can learn in a short space of time.

About the school

Ideally located close to Biarritz town center (20 mins by foot, 10 mins by bike), train station and airport. In a modern and spacious building dating from the 70's, the school offers 15 bright, air conditioned classrooms for groups of 2 to 12 participants. Student tend to have an average age of about 22 in the summer and not much older at other times of the year. It is worth bearing this in mind, particularly if you are booking a golf or seniors course.

School location

Close to Biarritz town center (20 mins by foot, 10 mins by bike), train station and airport. For those staying at a residence- apartment or hotel they must make their way to their chosen accommodation either by bus or taxi. BY TRAIN:When being met at the train station, the host family will greet you in the main hall with a sign with your name on it. For those not being met, bus n°2 takes you directly to the centre of town. The bus ticket costs 1,2€ (5 tickets = 4,75€, 10 tickets = 9,05€). Tickets can be bought in a newspaper shops 'tabac' or STAB shop. There are also taxis outside the train station that will take you directly into town, which will cost approximately 10/12€. BY AIRPORT: When being met at the airport, the host family will greet you at the passenger exit with a sign with your name on it. For those not being met, there is a bus service just outside the airport that takes you directly into the centre of town, which costs 1.07€. A taxis into the centre of Biarritz will cost approximately 9/12€ . There are direct flights to Biarritz once week from Paris, Clermont Ferrand, Nice, Lyon, Geneva and London. "

    The host families provide breakfast and dinner on weekdays and all meals on weekends, with an individual, comfortable bedroom. Generally, there are one or several students of different nationalities per family, except during the high season when this cannot be guaranteed. All our host family accommodation is located in the area known as the BAB (Bayonne-Anglet-Biarritz). Students aged 16-18 years old are allocated twin rooms and full board (picnic lunch) as opposed to half board for the same standard daily price. During July and August we may have to offer twin accommodation to students aged over 18 years old, this is due to the popularity of our programmes!

Airport Transfer

Biarritz is served by A10 autoroute linking Paris to Spain. 5 hours train journey from Paris. More than a 100 flights per week from most major cities in France and from London and Geneva.For those staying with host families they will automatically be greeted by a member of the family at the airport or train station. Please provide complete travel details at least two weeks before arrival.
