Courses start at 8.45 and end at 13.15.The five hours are divided into two blocks taught by two different trainers. In the first two hours, the focus is on accuracy and learning and practising new grammatical structures in a communicative context. In the following three hours, the emphasis is on developing your speaking and listening skills. Using discussion, role-play, presentation etc, and participant’s work on improving their fluency.

The school in Freiburg was founded in 1972 and at the beginning of the eighties started to specialise in teaching German to foreign students. By 1983 it was at the forefront of Teacher Training and Teacher Development for German as a Foreign Language for the International House world organisation. Its main interest has always been to offer clients high quality language teaching and additional services which make their stay both effective and enjoyable.

You should not only learn German successfully but also enjoy your time here. An interesting variety of social and cultural activities are provided for your free time. On Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays or Sundays excursions are organised to places of interest in the area around Freiburg. There are also German film evenings and and weekly evenings in a German pub.
