This programme FROM 09.00-13.00, from Monday to Friday is held three times a year, lasts 2 weeks, and is a mixture of language, art, culture and the pleasure of spending time with people of similar tastes. Apart from 40 hours of language lessons in the morning over the two weeks, the programme includes the following: trip by private coach to Villa Adriana (Tivoli); trip by private coach to the Castelli Romani area including visit to a wine cellar, wine-tasting and dinner on Castelgandolfo Lake; cooking lesson and dinner, 2 guided trips around Rome; 2 seminars on the History of Art and a full day excursion to Pompei and Naples. All these activities take place in Italian and are guided and/or accompanied by teachers of Italian knowledgeable about Archaeology and History of Art. Students need a minimum level of elementary to benefit from this course. "

School: Rome

In our centre in Rome, a five-storied Liberty style villa, there are 11 classrooms (in addition to 15 others, in the two annexes situated 50m from the main building) The quality of the teaching and services provided by the school is guaranteed by its membership of EAQUALS (European Association for Quality Language Services), ELITE (Excellent Language Institutions Teaching in Europe), ALTO (Association of Language Travel Organisations), ASILS (Associazione Scuole d'Italiano come Lingua Seconda), and International House. The school has developed dynamic teaching methods and a stimulating Italian language programme that incorporates students' personal interests and various aspects of Italian life. We also operate as a teacher-training centre.

Après Course

The school organises a full and varied programme of social activities for students (e.g. films, excursions, concerts, operas, guided tours, parties etc) The aim is to ensure that students have every opportunity to practise the language they are learning and at the same time to make friends and have fun. The teaching staff run the activities, making sure that any language or other difficulties are taken care of. A calendar of social events is given to each student on entry to the school. All activities except dinners, excursions and concerts are included in the enrolment fee.

Testimonial

The school has been a great way to get into the Italian language and culture quickly. For someone from the United States it has been especially benificial to meet people from all over Europe and the world. (Stephen, 28 years)
