Roman Coast - Castelfusano

Castelfusano was an old hunting estate of the Chigi family situated just 25 km from the center of Rome and 1.3 km from the Roman coast. The name derives from the magnificent baroque castle, frescoed by the famous Pietro Da Cortona in the 1620's, which lies in the midst of a centuries-old pine wood. Thirty-five hectares around the castle are still privately owned by the Chigi family and it is here that a member of the family decided to build the Country Club Castelfusano.

Siena

The buildings that you can see as you walk the narrow cobbled streets are those that have stood the test of time. The city throbs with history. On two separate days in the summer, the whole of Siena converges on the city's magnificent main square, the Piazza del Campo, for the procession, rituals and highly emotional horserace in the square between the town's 'Contrada', or neighbourhoods. Nowadays, an outsider may be granted a glance at the heart of Siena and her people, may even be invited to join the celebrations, and will find in the Siennese, a wonderfully hospitable people who are always willing to "add a place to the table" During the summer the Piazza is packed with people, Siennese, students, tourists, all chatting and watching the evening roll by.

Tuscan and Romagna Spa resort

This is a small resort that conveys the sensation of being at your best friends’ home, but at the same time it is big enough to offer anything you need.It is surrounded by the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna: therefore, while you are strolling up and down or you are talking in the coffee houses of the town, you can breath in the fresh air from the park, which is balsamic for the nearness of the forests and as pure as the water running downstream to quench the thirst of the Riviera Romagnola. Nature, peacefulness, the purity of the elements – which are in themselves good medicines – add to the benefit you can enjoy from the thermal waters, from which the origin and the name of Bagno di Romagna derive. It is here we hope that you will combine physical well being with a 'bagno' of Italian language and culture.
