This course is made up of 20 classes of 50 minutes plus additional cultural activities. Recommended for those students who wish to combine language learning with a study of the culture in a real life situation at a steady pace.

The school building dates from the middle of the nineteenth century and is constructed on top of the ancient Moorish town walls. Large sections of these walls, which were built in the eleventh century, have been conserved, including the watchtower, which overlooks our garden. The school has two Andalusian interior patios, a garden with orange trees, jasmine and bougainvillaea, a terrace facing south across rolling countryside and an enormous azotea or roof, with views in all directions, from Medina Sidonia in the north to Morocco in the south.

All the courses and programmes are supplemented by extra-curricular activities: films, talks, visits to places of local interest, kite-surfing, cookery classes and sports. Each weekend there is an excursion of one or two days to places further afield – to Seville, Cordoba, Morocco, Cadiz, Ronda
